Shinsuke Ikeuchi

Shinsuke Ikeuchi is a contemporary artist and metal engraving craftsman, born in Fukuoka in 1984. Self-taught in metal engraving, he later expanded his artistic practice into both two-dimensional and sculptural contemporary art. His mixed-media works, created using special resins, reinterpret inorganic materials such as metal, transforming them into fluid, organic, and sensuous forms. Through this approach, he explores the fundamental energy of life and its ever-expanding origins. His flat mixed-media works combine tin, silver, and other metals with various materials, utilising their unique properties to create distinctive compositions. Currently based in Tokyo, Ikeuchi continues to develop his artistic language, pushing the boundaries of materiality and form.
