Osamu Suzuki

Osamu Suzuki is a renowned Japanese ceramic artist from Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, a region famous for "Mino ware". His father, Michio Suzuki, was a researcher of ceramic glazes, which provided Suzuki with an early foundation in pottery and glaze techniques. He studied under masters such as Tōyozō Arakawa and Hajime Katō, dedicating himself to reviving and mastering Shino ware, a ceramic tradition dating back to the Momoyama period (1573-1603).
