Kiyoshi Saito
Kiyoshi Saitō was a self-taught woodblock print artist from Fukushima Prefecture, known for developing his own distinctive printmaking techniques. He combined traditional Ukiyo-e woodblock methods with modern Western artistic influences, creating works that express a uniquely Japanese sensibility. Inspired by the woodblock prints of Sotaro Yasui, Saitō dedicated himself to printmaking while also producing a few oil paintings and ink works.
