Andre Brasilier
André Brasilier is a renowned French painter known for his poetic and dreamlike compositions. Born in 1929 in France, he entered the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1949. At the age of 23, he was awarded the "Prix de Rome", the highest honour given by the French government to promising art students. Brasilier’s work is deeply inspired by his love for nature and human life. His paintings often depict serene landscapes, elegant horses, and his muse—his wife, Chantal.
